Client/job description: Our client is a leading player in the UK in the design, development and manufacturer of water related drainage and civil engineering products. They have a strong brand and are one of the leading players in this sector. They are part of a larger and more varied group of companies that operate globally. We are looking to recruit a Business development Director for their UK business, who will be responsible for all aspect of business management reporting into a Group Managing Director. The business is profitable and successful and is poised for growth over the next few years and therefore we are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic individual who is capable in time of stepping up to be MD. Our client wants to refocus their activities in the market through emphasis on specification as part of the sales process by offering knowledgeable advice to local authorities, architects, design & build engineers, Highways Agency engineers, contractors and clients. With this in mind a Business Development Director will be appointed to lead the business from the front and ensure that profitable business growth is achieved. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the market place and clients, an understanding of the route to market and will ideally possess the following; a Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), Sales / marketing / business development experience, Strong leadership and people management skills, and Commercial and financial acumen.

Client/job description: Our client is a global Consulting and Services Company working specifically in the Energy and Utilities market. They have their roots in Asia and have developed their UK profile over the last few years and have established themselves in the following sectors; nuclear, gas, water, renewable and environment. They are looking to build up their nuclear capability in the UK and capitalise on the opportunities that exist within this market place. They are already well established in the UK market place with several of the major players in the utilities and power sector and therefore have an excellent platform for growth. The Head of New Build Nuclear will develop a team of professionals who will penetrate the UK market place and win consultancy work within this sector. Candidates will need to be qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and be active in the new build sector with experience of the current procurement opportunities. Candidates will need to be technically very strong and be capable of developing, winning and delivering new consultancy opportunities.
